[CURRENT ISSUE] Installation Verification Failure (Sims 3 64-bit release)

So I am trying to install the new Sims 3 64 bit release on my Mac. I keep getting the Installation Verification Failure, when the game has launched. I have tried reinstalling it, and that did not work. 

Do you have a solution for this yet? 

And yes, my Mac meets the minimum requirements to run Sims 3.

    Update:  This issue should now be solved for all affected players.  The issue on EA's end that was causing this particular error has been addressed.

    If for some reason you're still seeing the installation verification error, please contact EA customer support:

    https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/

    Specifically say that you play on a Mac and that you would like the entitlement for the 64-bit version of Sims 3 added to your account.  If the first support rep doesn't understand, says they can't help, or claims this is not an issue, feel free to ask that this be escalated.

    I think it’s a game wide issue. To my knowledge nobody has been able to get past the main menu screen.

    I keep getting the error message "Installation Verification Failure", "The sims 3 cannot run the installation is incomplete." I have a MacBook Pro and the 64 bit release came out today. I need help on what to do I've already uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times from origin.

    I just messaged EA and a member said they are currently working on it. Hopefully this gets resolved soon

    UPDATE: it seems like a lot of people are having this issue. Thank you to whoever added this into a thread ! 
    I’m guessing it’s due to the release being a few hours old. Some errors are expected. 


    My original post: I downloaded the 64 bit & métal sims 3 version which launched TODAY. I was super excited and I downloaded it but when it go to play it, it doesn’t work. The loading screen loads, the intro video/music plays and the second I get to the launcher (new game/load game), a message pops up saying “installation verification failure. The sims 3 cannot run. The installation is incomplete. Please re-install and try again”. 

    I’ve uninstalled and re-installed from ORIGIN multiple times but nothing. I am running the latest IOS update/version on my Mac. I have no idea where to go from there. I’m not tech savvy at all. I added a pic of the error message so you can see I’ve made it pretty far into loading the game. 

    Please, if anyone knows anything it would be greatly appreciated.  I really want to play. It’s one of my favorite games ever.

    This may be related: I'm having the same issue listed here but also found this error in the game launcher. Note, I have no firewall or anything on my standard home network that would block this.

    @thorarrowood  Does that only show when you open the Game Updates tab?  There aren't supposed to be any updates available, through the launcher or otherwise.
