Choose Household, Start Playing now won't work.

II wanted to start a new family in Moonlight Falls, and when I chose a family It didn't load. I can still turn to left and right in the world. I can even go to the headmenu. Just when I choose a familythe button turns grey but the sims don't load. I tried this in several worlds.  I tried to delete compositorCache.package and so on, but it didn't work.

If that doesn't work, do you use any mods or custom content, and does it help to remove the Mods folder?  This would just be for testing; you don't need to save your progress.

I find out that i can't move to college even in the existed family. When I enrolled college and choose a dorm to live, the button turns grey but the sims don't load. I can still turn to left and right in the world.

If this doesn't work, try again but with your computer offline.  You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.

Leave the travel part until the first part is fixed.  The two may be symptoms of the same underlying issue, and it'll be easier to troubleshoot the first one and then see whether the second one is resolved too.

I find out that even if I remove the folder,  and the new one it loads still have the same problem.

But i find out that I can play the existed family to enroll college or go on a trip without the Internet connection .

  • u7fsosndm1jl  Is OneDrive running on your computer, and if so, is your Documents directory in OneDrive?  Right-click the new Sims 3 folder (that replaced the one you moved) and select Properties > General, then see whether OneDrive is in the file path (Location).

If OneDrive is there, that might be the issue, and here's how to get rid of OneDrive if you want:

Pausing syncing while you play is an interim solution that might work for you, but it generally isn't enough for OneDrive-related issues.  However, most of the reports I see are not about the issue you're having, so I can't say how it would work for you.
