Custom Sim passed to me through Simport!
So I am dealing with another technical malfunction with Showtime (can't interact with one of my sims anymore) and I decide to try to start a new game to see if this is happening with new games as well...

All of the Sim hosted are installed into your library. If you would notice, all the Sims you send out are also uploaded to your exports and also install in your friends games. However, it does not allow CC or Store content to pass through. I'm not sure if it replaces it or just doesn't send until it's removed, but I have hosted Sims from simmers that use a lot of CC and nothing has been transferred besides the Sims, wearing mostly items from Showtime.
