Have you tried purging RAM before and frequently during gameplay?

What Mac do you have? Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your desktop and select About This Mac. Please provide the following information (you may need to click on More Info depending on what operating system you're running:

    - Operating System (Version)
    - Mac model
    - Processor
    - Memory (RAM)
    - Graphics

    - Are you running any antivirus?
    - Do you have Time Machine/Spotify/Dropbox or similar running?

    - Are you patched up to date? You should be on patch level 1.67
    - Do you use CC/Mods? If so, have you tried removing them and seeing if that fixes your problem?
    - What Expansion and Stuff Packs do you have installed?

Thanks for the reply. Here are my details

Patch - Where do I find this info? Origin or Sims? My Origin version is 9.11.1 and I cannot get Sims 3 to load to see anything there.

    No CC/mods

    OS - Yosemite 10.10.5

    Mac - 13" mid 2009

Processor - 2.26 mhz Intel Core 2 Duo

    Mem - 4 GB

    Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256MB

I have Sims 3 and ALL the expansions and stuff packs

I keep getting this error when opening Sims 3 - "Exception raised. Unhandled exception 0x80000003 at address 0x0058dbf6. Do you wish to debug it?". When I click yes it crashes every time.

    Any info appreciated!!

    @lainaloo24

I think the problem is simply that your Mac is struggling to run the game and all EPs. Seasons, ITF, Pets and IP are real resource hogs and your Mac is probably struggling because it has low spec. integrated graphics and a lowish CPU. Can you uninstall those EPs, move your Sims 3 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts onto your desktop and then see how it plays?
