Do I need to re-purchase the original game to play?

My computer that had Sims 3 crashed. I was just able to purchase a new computer and now I would like to play my Sims 3 again. I purchased the base game as a download and I have five of the expansions packs. Do I need to re-purchase the original game to play? It has been over a year since I was able to play and I really miss my Sims. Can you help?

Did you buy the base game from the Origin store? If yes, just log into the client with the same email and password that you use in the Origin store and you should be able to see and download the game again.

I've had this same problem, but when I log back onto origin The Sims 3 isn't on my games, just the extension packs that I have?!
