EA App uninstalling Sims 3 Without Prompting

There have been two instances of the EA App deleting my Sims 3 application without my input. The first time I thought I may have done it since I was getting a .world error where I could not run the game and just forgotten that I uninstalled  it. However, a few days ago I figured out the issue my game was having and started playing the Sims 3 again. I was playing earlier and took a break for about an hour, away from my laptop. When I reopened my laptop and the EA App, the Sims 3 was uninstalled. I'm currently reinstalling the application. Is there something I can do to stop the EA app from deleting applications on its own?

I am reinstalling the game for the third time now. Install location is C:\Program File\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\The Sims 3. I included a screenshot.

  • DynamicBookworm  That's the wrong place to install it: this folder is for the EA App itself, not for games.  I would guess that the EA App is updating and emptying out that folder in the process, thereby uninstalling your game, because the App updater doesn't expect the folder to contain any other meaningful data.

Please install Sims 3 to somewhere else, either the default:

    C:\Program Files\EA Games\

or to a new folder you create for this purpose.
