EA App, when offline mode, says Sims 3 Game License Expired
Hi!
I was playing the Sims 3 games for a few weeks/days now. But when I tried to launch it today, I encountered a problem on my Sims 3 App Launcher that told me to input my Game License for the base game. I don't have it on hand so I relaunched the Sims 3 App Launcher thinking it was just a bug. However, the second time I did it, the EA App no longer sends me the Sims 3 App Launcher like it's used to. Instead, it sends me an error prompt saying "Double Check Your Internet Connection". I followed the recommendations I found online:
- the cleaning of cache and
- fixing of the games through the EA App
- I also changed my firewall settings and have turned off my VPN
However, nothing seems to be working on my end. I have already talked with an advisor through Live Chat about this too.
I also tried turning the EA App to offline mode, since I thought it should bypass the internet connection error (Sims 3 is an offline game anyways), but it says that my game license has expired and I need to be online to reactivate it.
I'm not sure what this problem concerns with, is it with the internet connection or my game license? The advisor I was talking to assured me that my Game License was active but why can't I play it through the offline mode?
Please help, I have an elderly woman who needs to be taken care of in my Sims 3 save. PLEASE!
@AndreiT13 Please clear the EA App's cache (again):
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
and restart your computer.
If that doesn't help, force the EA App to update. Go here:
Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop
and launch the EAUpdater.exe. When it's done and the EA App opens again, try to launch Sims 3 from your game library.
If that doesn't help either, let me know.
