EA App, when offline mode, says Sims 3 Game License Expired

Hi!

I was playing the Sims 3 games for a few weeks/days now. But when I tried to launch it today, I encountered a problem on my Sims 3 App Launcher that told me to input my Game License for the base game. I don't have it on hand so I relaunched the Sims 3 App Launcher thinking it was just a bug. However, the second time I did it, the EA App no longer sends me the Sims 3 App Launcher like it's used to. Instead, it sends me an error prompt saying "Double Check Your Internet Connection". I followed the recommendations I found online:

  1. the cleaning of cache and
  2. fixing of the games through the EA App
  3. I also changed my firewall settings and have turned off my VPN

However, nothing seems to be working on my end. I have already talked with an advisor through Live Chat about this too.

I also tried turning the EA App to offline mode, since I thought it should bypass the internet connection error (Sims 3 is an offline game anyways), but it says that my game license has expired and I need to be online to reactivate it.

I'm not sure what this problem concerns with, is it with the internet connection or my game license? The advisor I was talking to assured me that my Game License was active but why can't I play it through the offline mode?

Please help, I have an elderly woman who needs to be taken care of in my Sims 3 save. PLEASE!

    Hi @AndreiT13

Were you able to try the steps that puzzlezaddict suggested?

If you're still getting the same error after giving them a shot, could you post an Error Report ID for the EA app? For more info on how to find it check out this article on the EA Help website.

Once you have the Error Report ID please share it in this thread. We just need the Report ID, not the log files themselves.

    Thanks!

@puzzlezaddictThank you! I did the same steps twice after your post. Clearing cache didn't help but when I re-fixed the game, clicked the launch button located at the lower right of the screen, it worked finally.

@kimberlyarhuber  Is your computer online or offline, and does the EA App think it's online or offline?  You should see an option to go offline or online in the dropdown menu in the upper-left corner of the App window.

The EA App currently doesn't support playing in offline mode all the time.  It's supposed to work, but it just doesn't.  So the only fix is to establish at least a temporary internet connection, for example through your phone (using data rather than your home wifi).  You can take your computer offline again after signing into the App.

@Espresoooo  I believe what this person meant is that they repaired the game in the EA App again.  The option is Sims 3 > Manage > Repair.

If this doesn't help, please let me know what your specific issue is.
