Emergency responders not leaving

First I had a fire, firefighter wouldn't leave. Quit game.

Now I had a robber, police won't leave and alarm won't go off. Unfortunately, I saved the game, since I had played almost 10 days worth. Unfortunately police, won't leave, alarm won't stop, can't move, can't buy/build and Sims won't sleep. Help.....

    For any sims that are stuck on the property, you can use the resetsim cheat: Press Ctrl+Shift+C together and then type in resetsim Firstname Lastname - so if Mr Policeman was called Joe Bloggs you would type resetsim Joe Bloggs

    Reset all your Sims with the cheat resetsim *

    Hopefully that will also take care of the alarm.
