[Error Analysis] Sim can't return home

Update!
I saved the Uni file under a different name as suggested by crin. This time around I had my graduating sim only invite those who were in the home lot with him, which were his brother and sister. I wanted to be sure it wasn't just an issue where you could only invite those in the house so I had him invite his sister's boyfriend (He does not live with them).
Graduation began once again and my sim was able to attend and he stayed the entire time this go around. He recieved his diploma and new trait. Also his brother and his sister's boyfriend did attend as well. Don't know why his sister didn't but that is ok as two of the three invitees did arrive.
Also the gradaute and the other sim I sent to Uni together made it home this time.
BUT...When I sent the other sim back to Uni once the town loaded she was no where to be seen...again.
I went back and saved the after successful graduation under yet a third name and tried again. Once more the sim returning to Uni never showed.
Two things I am now trying.
1) I am testing the Uni pack out in a different town with a different sim. We shall see how that goes.
2) I am going to wait a couple of sim days between before sending back the sim that needs to return to finish her degree.
I don't want to say the graduation problem is fix for me yet as it only worked once. Granted it may be a bit of a pain to have to save the game under a new file before graduating each time but that is ok, at least it is some workable work-a-round.
