Error Code 12

HI,

My sims game continusly comes up with Error Code 12.

In  understand it is a world save problem however I have tried to save under a different name, save as, continue playing, save and exit etc and nothing works. It comes up with error code 12 and I have no idea how to save it, I have also deleted the cache folders lke suggested etc and still nothing. I ahve planty of space and no bugs, custom content etc,

I have installed: Sims 3 disk, Unversity (orgin ea game download not disk), World Adentures (disk), Pets (disk) and Seasons (disk). Can anybody help!? I need an actual fix not just temporary.

    if your playing at the moment save and quit or just quit check to see  if there are any files in your the electronics arts/thesims3/CurrentGame.sims3 that folder should be empty too if there are files in there delete them...while a game is playing  files will be there that is normal but once we save and quit the folder empties out also if you have any save games in the saves folder that have .bad at the end of the save name delete them they are no good
