I just downloaded the 2025 update for sims 3. I played in a brand new save for all of an hour, saved the game once while I was playing and then tried to save it one last time before I closed the game. I’ve gotten an error 16 message every time I try to save. I’ve repaired the game, updated my drivers, and tried to use my backup several times.
I have an all disk installation. I was getting a problem where my worlds werent even loading (none - at all!), so I uninstalled all of my Sims and reinstalled them, and used the superpatcher, now I am getting the exact same issue!!! I'm going to try and find an older version of the superpatcher (2023/2024), uninstall and try again!
It says see the readme, which sends you to EA for support, which gives you a long arbitary list of things to try, which dont work either, and then you're left with reacing out to this forum, on X (twitter) or youtube which again, does not help as there is nothing to do with error code 16.
From researching what, why etc... I have found a lot of people have had this issue!
