I have been having issues updating from 1.57 to 1.63 from the launcher. i tried using the super patch and got error CRC.

says the program files (x86)\electronic arts\the sims 3\gamedata\shared\packages\deltabuild0.package doesnt match the file in setups.cab file. the medium from which you are runnig the setup may be corrupted.

can someone please help?

Do you have the disc or Origin download version ?
