PLEASE TAKE OUT YOUR MODS BEFORE UPDATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Make sure to backup the folder in documents\electronicarts\thesims3 to a safe place. That's all your user data like your download...

It all depends if you use mods or not.

If you don't, go ahead and patch.

    If you don't know what they are, you don't have them. So no worries.
