[FAQ] Lags & Freezes

I've had occational issues with game lag and found most times its due to a glitched sim, ones that are unselectable or appear to be underground (very noticable with fairies as the wings remain visable). I have discovered that in each case it is some aspect of the sims career attire that is the problem, the hair style or clothing. My most recent encounter with this was a self employed painter, when his career advanced (to lv7 I believe) the game changed his hair style and the lag started. I edited the career style (hair and clothes) and the game returns to normal. This has happened with npc sims as well and their career style can be changed using the testingCheatsenabled true then shift clicking the sim to edit, it can be tricky as you can only do this with an npc if they arent in their career attire, just keep an eye on them and eventually you will find them in different attire.
