I have had this problem for a while and I have opened the firewalls for the launcher to sims 3 and have uninstalled both the game and the Origin client. Still having the issue after reinstalling both. I can't even update the launcher so I can play one of the expansions. This is a problem I would like fixed.

This only worked with the base game. When I installed expansion packs from Origin, I'm having the same issue. Origin will not automatically connect with my Sims account, and TS3 game launcher is trying to connect to EADM. It says the game is up-to-date, but it won't play. I hit the play button and the launcher disappears and nothing happens. I tried reinstalling the patch here, and that did nothing.
