Free Vacation with Generations

My adult sim was offered a free vacation (2 sim days long), so the teenagers can have a party whilst they are away, all went well the adult went away my teenager had a good party. However at te hend of the 2 days, in the corner (headline bit) it said my adult sim would be back in 2 hrs, then another reminder my adult sim would return in 1hr, however my adult sim never cam back... instead the adult sim icon turned green and her picture was gone and now i cant even select it or do anything. so my teenage sim is now on her own. is there anyway of fixing this or is there going to be a new update to fix this or what...? I would really like to fix this as i really quite liked my family i made.

    This happens due to game corruption.  Read through this post: answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Savegame-Corruption/m-p/968290

    There are a couple of glitches that sound like they match yours.  Try the work-arounds for whichever seems to match best.  Good luck.

    I've had the same problem. It sucks, but I don't think there is really anything we can do except report it, work around it, and hope that they fix it.

    That's right. The free vacation needs fixing. I always decline the opprtunity
