Game code purchased from an "unauthorised source"?
Hi everyone,
About two weeks ago, Origin told me I had to update it, which I did. Afterwards, botch of my expansion packs were missing. I contacted EA and the advisor told me there was already a team working on my issue (which was weird, since I hadn't contacted anybody about this before). A few days later I received a standardised email from EA, which stated the following: "After reviewing your case, we found that your game was disabled due to a chargeback against your account. A chargeback may occur if a game code has been purchased from an unauthorised source and/or if you have initiated a chargeback. You can resolve this issue by contacting the retailer."
I contacted my retailer and they told me they were willing to give me new codes for the games I purchased there. However, they never answered my question about if their codes are legal. The shop which I purchased the codes from is not listed on EA's page about authorised retailers. But then again, not one Dutch shop is. ( I live in the Netherlands). As far as I know, the store I bought my codes from is a very decent store.
Could somebody tell me what I should do?
