game crashes when i load household

do you have BitDefender ? it is know to cause a conflict with the sims 3 try temporarily disable it also have you tried  running it in compatability mode for win 7 or xp, and as an administrator ? once you do all that restart the computer

What is BitDefender and how can i go about disabling it?

BitDefender is an antivirus programe some antivirus programes like norton and avg among others  can cause an issue with the sims 3 don't worry about that at the mo someone will look at your dxdiag and let you know if you need to do anything there

nah i dont have that. i use a different antivirus

on a side note some of your drivers need an update for your graphics card go to amd.com if your not sure of the values to put in they have an auto detect and install once the update is done you usually get a restart the computer message if you don't get a message restart in anyway

if this isn't a bother, i went on the website and tried the autodetect for my driver and it had an error message.

any idea what the error message was/is and i'm going to post this in the helpers corner too for one of the other helpers to look at i have no idea when they will be on could be this evening or in the morning as you might not meet the minimum requriements to run the game it does not mean that you may not be able to play the game you might just need to lower the graphics settings in the options ingame or something like that

It just says
