Can't buy Dragon Valley

Hello!

I bought Dragon Valley a year ago, then immediately requested a refund in order to buy the Gold Edition. I got a refund a bought the Gold Edition, but my code didn't work on The Sims 3 Store, so I asked for another refund and left it at that, a bit disappointed. Now, a year later, I'd like to get it, but my EA account says that I already have it, so it won't let me buy it again. When I buy it via Amazon, it doesn't work either, saying my code has already been used... I bought a used DVD and same, it won't work. Steam does not have the worlds either. It still shows up in https://store.thesims3.com/purchaseHistory.html but when I try to install it, it of course doesn't work.

I've spent more than four infuriating hours with the EA support and they're telling me that they don't understand the problem and automatically end the conversation. I swear it's been insane how they all ignored what I was saying and closed the chat... I just want to update my account so that it shows that I do not own the DLC.

Is there a fix or a workaround to just buy the Dragon Valley DLC at last? My experience with the EA Support has been disastrous (on that issue and others), so if the only solution is to go through them, I'll just give up, honestly.

    Hi! Sorry for the late response.

    It doesn't work from the product page, since it tells me to "Get the Bundle".

    From the purchase history, it opens the launcher with an error message: "You don't own the item you're trying to download."

    When I install it from the CD, it tells me to input the code and I get an error that this code has already been used. Same when I rebuy a brand new code from Amazon...

  • InspecteurPatate​  On the product page, is that true whether you choose the regular or Gold version of DV?  You can click the Gold tab to switch.

    For the purchase history, this might be because of the refund, but one other thing you can try is using a different browser, and refreshing the purchase history page if you get the error the first time around.  I've seen that error here and there, and it disappears after a refresh or two, although I also haven't received a refund for anything.

    As for the "already been used" Amazon code, just get a refund for that.  And if the above doesn't work, don't try to buy another copy of DV for now; there may be something stuck on your account, which would in turn be something for EA customer support to solve.  But let me know about the above; I can ask around as to whether there's anything else you might do on your end.

    Unfortunately, I tried both Gold and Regular and it doesn't work.

    From the purchase history, I tried from different browsers, but to no avail. 

    I did get a refund from Amazon and I still have the CD, if only I could use it! I contacted EA thrice and after hours and hours of discussion, they said they couldn't do anything for me, which is really frustrating, since it's the only thing missing in my collection and I literally have the CD in my hands. -.-"

    Heya InspecteurPatate​ it sounds like the entitlements for these editions were not fully removed from your EA account when you requested the refund- this isn't something we can check on the forums as we don't have access to your account or billing details, but live support can check again with you and make sure the previous entitlements have fully removed.
