Game freezing after enrolling my sim in university

I am trying to enroll my sim in university, but as soon as it reaches the loading screen, the game just freezes completely, it loads a bit then it stops completely and wont progress any further, I ha...

lidn0m1krbgf​  Does this happen in a new save as well?  Please test for comparison's sake.  You can pick an existing household (that has enough money for tuition) and send someone as soon as the University welcome kit arrives.

Please also let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS.

Yes, I had tried a new save and was still getting that same error, running on Windows
