Getting Stuck on the Blue Plumbot Screen

I earlier had to uninstall my Sims 3 game because I kept getting an "unknown error message". Recently, I installed it again. However, I've had a lot of different kind of trouble with it. Each time I launch the game after trying to install it, it gets stuck on a blue plumbot screen, and the message "Important Message! There is a problem connecting to the server. Please ensure your internet connection is active. If the problem persists try again later," pops up. I feel like I've tried everything, I downloaded a super patch, I've tried to by stand the launcher, I manually removed the Sims 3 from my computer multiple times before reinstalling it again, I've gotten rid of certain caches, so I feel like I've tried everything I could find.  Does anyone know the solution to this problem?
