Gift from Steam (The Sims 3 DLC) but can't add to library. HELP!!

My friend gave me DLC The SIms 3 from Steam but it says I need the base game first. I do have the base game but it's on Origin. It doesn't have the Product Key, I can't do anything! **the dlc just ke...

    oh boy...i was hoping to avoid you having to buy the base game again

    ☹️  seems you have to get the base game in Steam for the DLC to work

I got it as a Gift. So I did not receive any Product Key or Steam code (even in the email it only says i have receive a gift and ask me to install Steam to get it)

As i follow the instruction, it says I need the The Sims 3 base game.

DLC The Sims 3 Island Paradise and DLC The Sims 3 Showtime.

And i can't even trade this game ☹️
