Graphics error with update 1.55

Hi,

Ever since I updated the Sims 3, there are huge graphical errors in any gameplay.  All of the sims (humans and animals) have pieces of their faces and bodies missing (usually geometrical shapes like triangles, quadrilaterals, etc).  Objects and scenery have the same problem.  Also parts of the objects and sims are shown as planes (mountains had pieces of them stretched out to infinity, a sim's pant legs had thin cones stretch to the center of the floor in create a sim).  Also in create a sim, there was a circle around the floor that the sim stood on.

I've tried starting new games, I've started new games with no custom content, and I've even tried using the sims that came with the base game.  All of the sims and worlds look glitchy.  I've turned all of my graphics settings in the game to the lowest possible settings.  I can't figure out how to fix this.

I have the Sims 3 base, and the expansions world adventures, ambitions, generations, pets, supernatural, and seasons.

    Thank you for your suggestion.  Unfortunately, it didn't work.

    Microsoft said the video card had the most up-to-date drivers.

    I tried to update the ASUS video card through ASUS, and the video card "crashed".

    I went out and bought the GeForce GTX 650TI and now the graphics are beautiful!  Thank you for your time.

    I've found no other threads with problems like mine.

    I've also tried restarting my computer.

    I've tried starting a new game in twinbrook, the most basic world with the most basic sims.  All 3-D content is glitchy.  However, menus (such as create a sim menu), the openning video, and other non-3-D graphics are unaffected.

    I'm in the process of figuring out how to upload or link a picture to show you what it looks like.

    I've had a glitch like this once before from custom content, but I did not upload custom content lately, and as I've mentioned, these glitches prevail even when I load the game with CC disabled.  Therefore I've concluded that it's not caused by CC.

    This is usually graphics drivers related. Yours are pretty old. Try updating them.
