HELP: SIMS 3 (World Adventures) ERROR CODE 291

For 1 year it worked perfectly, then I made an update and since then the game doesn't work.  Everytime I try to start it, it says: unable to start game: error code 291. I goggled it and tried to fix...

HI There,

 

Without knowing how much ram you have installed on your computer, I can only guess, but it could be that you do not have enough.

 

I also don't know if you know how to run the msconfig command or what OS you are on, but if you know how to run the command, I would surely go through the start up progams and stop the ones you do not need starting up.

 

i.e. if you have 2 gigs of ram, you probably need more...
