Help with marrying foreigners, please?

In my France, Yves Bernard, is the general store merchant. My sim has become his girlfriend via proposing going steady when she invited him to stay in Riverview. However I'm in France now and I have ...

    As far as I know, you can't get married in a foreign country. That would mess up the whole game (cause they need to move in with you). Did that work with your other Sim or did you invite her over and marry her in your hometown ?

    Only way is to invite them over in your home country and marry there (althought to prevent troubles it's safer to move them in first and then get married. Since you can't seem to do that, I don't think there's a cheat-free, mod-free way to achieve what you want.

You made a post - I made a 'signature' until I can unlock a real one 😉  Just educating people.

Anyways, seems weird to me that you can marry them in a foreign town but frankly, I've never tried.
