@ayyysims3 Uninstalling Sims 3 from Origin and running the Origin reset tool should get rid of all the relevant files.

The only folder that might remain is the Sims 3 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts, but that's just user data: saves, store and custom content, mods, etc. You could move it elsewhere or just trash it if you don't want to save any of the files inside.
If you've tried uninstalling Origin and are still seeing Sims 3 files, please let me know where they are. For any file you find, you can right-click and select Get Info; the file path will be listed under "Where."
The origin reset tool didn't do anything. Can I just delete the Electronic Arts folder completely?

@ayyysims3 The Origin reset tool definitely did something, but you wouldn't notice the absence of the files it removed unless you knew where to look. The Library folder is hidden in macOS.
Yes, you can delete the Electronic Arts folder; the Sims 3 folder inside is the user folder I described earlier. If you install and open the game again, a new Electronic Arts folder will spawn. If however you play Sims 4 as well, you don't want to delete that folder, because Sims 4's user content is in there too.
