How do i redeem a 22 digit promotional coupon code?

I got a promotional code from an EA advisor in an email and i cant figure out where to redeem it. The Email says;

 

"We have also included the following promotional coupon code(s): 
blahlalalalalalalanotmyrealcodeblalalalala


Depending on your question, this code may be for redeeming a product or DLC, registering a product or DLC, or for accessing a promotion in the Origin store. 

Please note that codes are valid for one month from the date received, and are limited to one promotion type per order. Promotional coupon codes are valid for most of the products we offer but some restrictions may apply.

Its a 22 digit code. The guy told me in the chat thing that I can redeem it on the sims 3.com and origin. Please help!

    Did you get it from EA Customer Support ? Those are usually Origin codes that you can redeem on check out when you buy a game from Origin (or Simpoints).

    I don't know of a place at thesims3.com where you could redeem a 22 digital promotional code.

    I have this same problem at the moment, I was given my 22-digit code for fifa 13 on the ps3 but it hasn't stated where to redeem it.

    I just got off with Origin customer service.  You can only use the code to purchase a game or stuff pack that has already been released for 1 month. You can't use it to preorder or buy a new game. Also, you can use it to purchase Sim Points to use in the store. I already have all the expansion packs and SWTOR is the only other EA game I play. It doesn't work on any SWTOR items either. So it's useless to me. The code is active for one month. I was told that I could contact customer service again and tell them I have an expired code and they will issue me a new one. We'll see if that actually works. I hope some of this was helpful to someone.
