When I selct a new household, the little box comes up on the lower left of the screen. I click ok, or the tick or whatever it is, and it just hangs.
This started with the update before the latest one. I've seen bugs like this occur after updates before so just waited for the next one assuming they'd fix it. But it's still like it.
So how do you report a bug if you think they are missing it?

It is a common problem and you can report bugs in the bug threads in the official forums which the devs hopefully read, but there's no guarantuees.
What thread is the report a bug thread, I looked at all of them, I can't figure which one you mean.
What about live chat though? Are they even EA or an outside call handler company?
I'm not the only one with the bug. I've seen it on the forums and yahoo answers.
There's no need for me to reset factory settings if I'm not the only one with it. It started with the update before this latest one.
Please don't tell me they rely solely on game testers?
They must take bugs somewhere
This is just for your user files and it has helped many with this issue. You won't loose anything trying it.
In EP forum, there's a bug thread stickied (by me so not offiically maintainted but read by the devs). You can try live chat of course but I don't know if the can help you but it's of course worth a try.
I'm not aware of any official means how to report bugs other than making a thread (or add your voice to the bug threads) in the forums. There won't be an official answer there though.
Ok. Well I went to live chat and they said they'd report it but I have no confirmation of whether they actually have an amail for the testers or programmers. I don't fully understand where this thread is. I don't know what EP is?
Do you have the link for it because I can't find that thread on here or thesims3.com.
I took the liberty and tweeted this thread to Graham. He's one of the devs and he promised me to forward it to the people that still work on Sims 3.
