Your sims3 file looks like 32-bit. Make sure you’re downloading and installing the Metal one.
This is what it shows for the sims 3. It says 64bit and metal. It says complete on it but when it click on it this is what it shows..
It just says to install. normally when the game says complete on the game library when you click on it it should give you a play option not install. not sure what is wrong with it.

@elizabeth211995 Have you ever had the old 32-bit version of Sims 3 installed on this computer? Try running the Origin reset tool for macOS:

You may have to restart the download.

I'll have to try that. At first i thought the game decided to work because the sims 3 icon no longer has that warning sign in the front and it showed that it installed in origin and sims 3 had the play button on it. So i hit play and it went through all the way but when it got to the spot where you choose a world this message popped up right away.

also just to make sure will this effect my sims 4 game. I have sims 4 running from a external hard drive and so is origin. Not sure if that could be a reason that sims 3 docent want to work
