I wished I'd seen this thread before I figured out my resource.cfg file was *outdated* for the mod I was trying to get to work (struggled with it a while before I figured it out, would've been better to see this first! lol).
See, up to recently my mods had been in prog files lol.. I got a mod and couldn't get it to work, in the process of trying to fix it I did fix my mod location.. :) My resource.cfg wasn't working right so I got a new one.. (that's what took the longest to figure out). That fixed my problem and enabled me to move it all to my docs.
Also, I read that some cant' see extensions if they don't have *show extensions* on (concerning file name extensions). MTS (mod the sims) has some tutorials on that but mine wasn't an issue so I didn't really read into it. I typically just view properties of my files to see extensions. Their icons usually tell me what they are, too. (depending on what program they are associated with).
Thanks so much for this thread, bookmarking for future reference incase I forget and have to do it again. lol It was beautifully done! Great job.
