i cant buy a boat on the sims island paradise!
i have a houseboat, a resort, and an empty extra home lot. ive tried to put the boat docker thing on theese lots but it wont let me. it says i must put the item in the ocean! please help im so confused!

you should still be able to buy a boat either in buy mode (or clicking on a mooring cleat found somewhere on the island) it will just go into your sims inventory, if your resort or lot is inland then you won't be able to place the mooring pole or cleat i bought hobarts resort for 0 simloeans and placed mooring cleats there i'm upgrading that resort at the moment
Go to a community lot, typically where ports are and find a pole that you can click on that will say "Purchase Vehicle" and buy whatever boat you want. It'll go straight into your sims inventory! I was confused too and it took me awhile to finally figure it out. Now I got a row boat for fishing, jet skii for fun and fast, and speed boat for speeeeeeeed.
