I cant find my serial code

 I bought my sims 3 game online a while ago... probably up to a year ago and i just now want to register my game online to recieve my 10$ sim points and so I can access other things online and I am not sure where I can find my serial code on my computer. I know when you buy the game in target or another store you can find the serial code on the inside of the package. My question (just to be clear) is where do I find my serial code if I bought my sims game online?

    log into your origin account from the origin shortcut icon with the email and password you used for the account in the origin my games tab hover the mouse over the game icon then click on  the i  a window should pop open with your code on it or right click the game icon-view game details a window should pop open with your code on it

    did you buy it through origin? because if so when you hover over it in the "my games" tab and click the "i" button the product code is right there which is what you need... hope that helps
