I can't travel with my sims to another town

So my game got all crazy and I decided to move my sim family into another town. The thing is it doesn't do anything and now the option to travel it's gray out and I'm stuck. I don't know what to do. I can't even go to edit town mode because the game keeps saying there is already a traveling happening and it's not. Before that I had a free vacation opportunity and I said NO. But I think the game answered for itself. I have the traveler mod. Maybe that could help? Can you guys tell me what to do? 

And another thing. If I create a new game I can't use the edit town and I don't know why. It's a nee game!!

    @AnaMariaApostol  For your current household, did you save with the game in that state?  If so, you'll probably need to revert to a backup save; let me know if you need help with this, or if the automatic backup the game creates is also from after you tried to move towns.  (It's easy enough to test if you're not sure.)

    Since even a new save isn't working correctly, it's better to address that first.  Go into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\CurrentGame, and delete anything you find in there.  That folder should always be empty unless you have a save loaded and running.  In the Sims 3 folder, please also delete the five cache files.  They should be deleted regularly anyway, and while troubleshooting, delete them every time you quit the game.  For reference, they are:

    • CASPartCache.package
    • compositorCache.package
    • scriptCache.pacakge
    • simCompositorCache.package
    • socialCache.package

    Create another new save, and see whether Edit Town works.  Let me know either way.
