I have the sims 3 disk and case, but no book.

I have the sims 3 disk and case, but no book. How do I register the game on origins? I got a new laptop and don't have any of the old information on it.  Am I really just out of luck if I don't have ...

    @lbankhead005  If you have access to another computer where your game was installed, you may be able to find the code still on that computer:

    If you ever registered your game in Origin or on the old Sims 3 site (www.thesims3.com), it should still be linked to your account.  (The old site and Origin share information.)  Then it's just a question of figuring out which email address you used when you registered the game.  Even without a password, you could enter that address in Origin, click "I forgot my password," and get a password recovery email.  In fact, you could do this with any email address you still have access to and just check all your inboxes for an email from Origin.

    But if none of this works, then yes, you're unfortunately out of luck.  Both Origin and Steam hold occasional sales of Sims 3 though, in case you ever want to buy another copy.
