I switched computers and am having trouble loading my game. Can someone please help me?

My game was playing in Appaloosa plains in University Life (I had just sent them to the university before the switch) and I switched all my files and saved files and everything over. My launcher loads the main menu and shows the family I am playing, and it will load them, but it won't load my sims pics on the side and I cannot interact with them. I saved it after I loaded it the first time because I thought it might fix the problem, but it didn't. I still have my other computer and can get the original saves off of it before I saved it. I have tried to use the phone from their inventory to drop out of the university and send them back home, but the menu does not appear. Is there any way I can go back to a earlier time, preferably before I sent them to the university?

    Crin is awesome!

    Btw: It's best to leave them; they help a lot!  I use them myself.  Just remember you must update them every time you update the game!  The next time you patch it, you head back over to the creater's site and download the new ones he's sure to have added for the newer patch level.  😕mileyhappy:

    I tried the patches and either I didn't install them right (I put them in my mods folder), or they didn't work. How do I get a save from before they went to UL? My

    Appaloosa Plains back-up saves have  2 Appaloosa Plains files, a Metadata file and a TravelDB file all dated on the 18th and I have to University Life files dated on the 16th. So, is there anyway I can get the save before they went to UL? Thanks for your help!!!

    We can't really talk about the mod solutions here cause EA doesn't support those. Best place to get help with those is at the place where you downloaded.

    If you didn't save before you went to Uni (under a different name so that you still have the savegame), there's no older game to go back to (unless the one with .backup is still from before you went). To activate that, just remove the .backup from the file name (you will need to rename the current one first)

    It worked!!!! I had put the patches in the "mods" folder, then I moved them to the "packages" folder inside the "mods" folder before opening my game and BAM!! It worked!!! Thank you for your help!! I am so thankful!!!!

    I have it working now, but I was wondering if have to leave the solutions (ErrorTrap; Overwatch) in the game or is there a point when I can take them out? And again, thank you so much for your help. I couldn't believe it really worked and I signed up for your blog. You are AWESOME!!!!

    Thank you all for your help. When I have a little more time I am going to go read the blog in it's entirety. At a glance it looked to be very useful and thanks for the heads up about new patching.  :heart: I am just so happy my game is up and running. 😕mileyhappy:
