I'm fed up with Island Paradise

Hello all,

I'm trying to be patient with Island Paradise and I just can't do it anymore. I've tried looking at other questions concerning this but unfortunately, I'm not good at understanding everything.

Could a kind person help me please. I'd like to uninstall Island Paradise but keep my families and all it's ties. I have made a huge multi generational game (My main Sim has 20 children alone!!)

Is there anyway I can uninstall this game, but keep my wonderful big family??

Thank you I'm advance, and if you could make it a  simpler answer, I'd very much appreciate it as I have difficulties understanding.

Thank you!!

  • @Sims19882022  You can't remove an expansion pack from an existing save without corrupting that save.  Sims played with that EP may also be corrupted if played with the pack removed, depending on which pack it is and what data is attached to the sims.

What are your issues with Island Paradise?  Are they limited to the world of Isla Paradiso, or are there other features of the expansion that are a problem?  Some of this can be fixed or worked around, depending on your preferences.  Please also let me know whether you use mods or would be willing to add a few.

    Hiya,

Thanks for getting back to me and letting me know.

I don't use the world which is came with. It just makes the whole game lag. I had a family of mine living on a boat house and they would either stay in a glitched speedboat and not go home or the Sims would stay in the water.

I use no mods and I'm quite cautious about that if I'm honest.

    Thank you

@Sims19882022  Then the simplest solution is to move the sims off the houseboat and into a normal house, and delete the houseboat.

The only way to prevent sims from using speedboats or water taxis to route is to install a mod that prevents it.  But if you don't want to use mods, the other option is to make sure sims don't need to travel over the water, which they shouldn't if the world in question is one contiguous land mass.

What world are you playing in?  Some are better-made than others, although there isn't a lot you can do about that without mods.
