Inability for sim to go to work
I recently bought the PC version of The Sims 3. But the problem I'm having is that at a certain point, it appears to be after my sim ages up, my sim won't go to work. I give the command which appears in the screen as it always does, but it just disappears and my sims doesn't act.
I've created 3 sims that this has happened to; they've been young adults doing great in their career, the time then comes for their birthday, I give them a party and they age up. But when it comes to go to work, what I described happens. I tried deleting the building and putting a new one in its place, but to no avail as the same thing happens.
I've started again three times. On the second occasion, I made two sims, an elder and a teen. When my teen aged up and I set them in a full time career, they wouldn't do it. But at this time, my elder was still going to work as usual and I assume it is because he had not aged up so it wouldn't happen. The very first sim that I made was in the music career, so was second sim that I mentioned. The third sim I made to work in the athletic career, but the same thing has happened.
Why is this happening and what can I do to rectify it?

I had this problem yesterday, and I went to the wardrobe in game, and went to Career outfits. I added a new outfit to his Career outfits and customised it to my liking. I then changed into the outfit I'd just made, then clicked on the Go to Work button, and he went to work with no problems.

Take your Sim to the dresser and give her a new work outfit. If the Sim already has more than one, delete the extra ones instead.I had this problem too, was getting really tired of my sim not going to work. Her career outift changed everytime she went to work (actress), then one day she just didn't go anymore. The carpoll arrived and nothing. I clicked on the car ''go to work'', clicked on her work ''go to work'' and nothing. I solved this by making her to change to her career outfit before sending her to work.
