According to EA, the sponserpay error should have been fixed earlier today.
Could people that had the issue verify for me if it's gone now ?
Make sure to restart your launcher, maybe even your computer and Origin.
- Anonymous12 years agoSo far no further error messages. If this holds up, big thanks to everyone who posted their information and did a little research. Every little bit we do helps keep the Sims on track.

I get the same script error as stefjoshlili from the first page of this thread. However, the game won't even open. I have windows 8.1 pro, java version 7 update 51, adobe flash 12.0.0.77, adobe air 3.7..0.2090, microsoft.net framework64 v4.0.30319, and ie version 11.0.9600.16521 all on an alienware x51.

I get that too atm. It has to do with indroding the Simpoint Ads worldwide. EA should be working on it.
Could you please make your own thread on the issue that your game does not open ? If you click Yes/No on the script error, you should still be able to play your game.

I have read this thread and I am having this problem aswell.
It is most likely the reason why I am un able to play my ea origin games.
Any other tim bits of information?
All of the above has failed to correct my issue.

It should not make your game not work. If you're game doesn't work, then it's something different.
Please open your own threads describing your issue in as much details as possible

I can say, this issue is definitely NOT fixed! I'm having multiple issues with it all.

My computer is brand new. Purchased yesterday and it is a high spec gaming computer yet mine just came up with the script error. I clicked no and my launcher stayed where it was rather than disappearing. I'm almost all the way through installing all my disks then onto the online parts but its all still installing fine now 🙂

I have had and still have that problem. If EA says it has been fix, that is not true.

It is now 24 February, and the sponsor pay error comes up every time I use the launcher. The problem is therefore not fixed. While it does go away when I click 'no' it is very annoying and on at least one occasion has caused the launcher to freeze. Am not amused.
FYI: Am using Windows 7, Explorer 11, and my game is the most recent patch - 1.67.2.lots of other numbers.
What may also be some sort of launcher error is that it keeps telling me an update is available. Problem is the update in question is for 1.22 and dated 5/31/11. So far, no problems, but hugely annoying, and needs refusal before am able to proceed further.

I am still getting multiple errors including that one.

It occasionally gives me an error saying it can't connect to origin.

I am getting the almost exact same problem as the person above. It says the same exact things, which when I first noticed it didn't ruin anything. I just pressed yes over and over again, and it still let me play. I played the sims 3 super natural by the way, and after playing for several hours I saved and quit, and when I came back to get on again, I repeated the same steps, but when it loaded it showed a black screen as if it was about to load the logo and stuff, but instead of loading it just closed on its self. It did this over and over, and each time I tried exiting out of the black screen I had to use task manager because it wouldn't let me out otherwise. Anyway, it had been giving me syntax error type things saying links to the problems like a link to something called sponser pay? I have been looking around and I haven't found a solution yet. I need help ☹️

Me too, it seems that recently I've picked up two more. Is there anything I can do to get rid of them? I'm still able to play so I don't want to lose my families, but those popups are darned annoying!
