Hi, i’m currently redownloading the sims 3 on my new PC and when I put in the CD for Seasons, a pop up comes up and says I need to update the Sims 3 before I continue to install the expansion pack (and won’t let you continue unless you do so). However, when I press yes and it goes to “update” a few minutes later it says that it failed and is unable to.
Is there a way to get around this? I wish origin was still around lol.
sabrinaaarose If you're only installing via disc (no EA App involvement), try running the Super Patch to update your game to 1.67. Here's a direct download link:

Some browsers block it as a security risk because the URL starts with http rather than https, but you can see that it points directly to EA servers.
Don't run the Super Patch on an EA App install, or a Steam install for that matter (although you couldn't use a disc with a Steam install anyway). If you've installed the game through the EA App, and you're still getting this error, you'll nened to register Seasons, that is if you can, and download it through the App.
