Installing Sims 3 Pets

I got the game for Christmas I updated my base game and updated origin. I went to install Sims 3 Pets and it came back with the setup Wizard as if it were going to install. Then it asked me if I want to remove all of the contents and components. But the game isn't even installed on my computer. I have had no problem running the Sims 3 games until now. I even tried downloading from origin and still the same message comes up. I go to see to remove it and it's still on my computer and I hit remove it gives me the same message and I go to start the game and it's not installed. How do I get it off my computer and reinstall it or how do I get the game to install and run. My system is up to date. Thanks
