Installing the sims 3 on crossover on M1 Mac

@aodoherty  You'd need to install the Windows version of Origin in order to install the Windows version of Sims 3 and run it through Crossover.  Have you tried downloading Origin for Windows?

You could also try installing the new EA Desktop App instead, although I'm not sure whether your Sims 3 packs would show as owned.  They didn't for me the last time I checked.  But the app is still in beta, so it's not surprising that some things don't work.

I downloaded the windows version of the origin and I tried to install it through Crossover but having the same issue. It won't install. The processing bar is stuck on the middle of the way of installing. How long usually take time to install Origin on Crossover? It takes only a minute on Mac without using crossover. 

@aodoherty  I've never used Crossover myself, so I'd have to defer to the people who know more about it.  But one thing you could try is uninstalling the Mac version of Origin first, just in case it's a problem.  It shouldn't be, but you never know, and it's not that difficult to uninstall.  Use this method to clean uninstall Origin; the regular uninstall process leaves a number of hidden files behind:

If the Windows version still won't install properly, then I think you'd need to ask on a Crossover forum.  There may be complications when installing Origin into this particular environment, although I've installed it in a VM with no issues.  Still, Origin can be extremely difficult for no apparent reason.

It may also be worth trying the EA Desktop App, just to see what happens.  You can have it and Origin installed side by side without a problem.
