Namedycyne I don't know how it fixed itself, but that's better than the other way around. Clearing Edge's data was the right move, specifically the Internet Explorer-mode data, as that's what the launcher uses even if you don't. And you shouldn't need to login through the launcher in order to install the Store content, but perhaps that was part of the larger issue that has not cleared up.
