Into the Future isn't Working

Sims 3 Into the Future isn't working. I bought it shortly after it came out in the states and installed it. 

Now that I have I am having issues with some of the things it came with. When I try and use the time machine my Sim freezes, when I try to build nanonites on the SimBot Workshop my sim just jumps to the side, and nothing else worked either. 

After registering it, I unistalled it and re-installed it. And while the TV, computer and some of the small things worked the Time Machine and Bot Workshop still didn't. I went to the EA help center and they had me change some of the settings on my computer and update my game to teh newest patch, but neither of these things have helped. 

I tried uninstalling and re-installing from the disc and it is still having issues. 

When I first tried these I did NOT have any mods, so there was no issue removing them. I have since added some mods, but would be happy to remove them if it would let me play the future.
