@OlympusBravo The issue could be a cleaner app, or user-specific antivirus or anti-cookie settings, or even your username. You can experiment with the possibilities if you want; the issue is that the launcher doesn't really have any way of showing why it's not cooperating, so fixing it requires a lot of guessing.
Or you could use the second account when you need to login to the launcher, which should only be necessary if you're uploading content to the Exchange. It's not usually necessary even when downloading store stuff. If you can't download store content in the main account, you can use the second account for that too, and just move the files to your main account as necessary.
Store content is installed into .ebc files in DCCache, with worlds and venues also depositing files in InstalledWorlds and Library, respectively. The ccmerged.package file in DCBackup is necessary to make premium store content work. So if you move these files to the Sims 3 folder in your main account, your store content should appear even without your needing to sign into the launcher. Alternately, you could install everything in the second account, copy the entire new Sims 3 folder to the main account, and move your saves and other existing content to the new folder. Either way should work.
