Island Paradise download does not work

I purchased the Sims 3 and Supernatural discs and they worked perfectly fine. Then I discovered that I could purchase new games via Origin download, so I tried High End Loft Stuff, it also worked fine. Thrilled with the way the download worked, I decided to buy Island Paradise. Then the trouble came... It downloaded AND installed with no issue, but when I started the game up, the expansion did not show on the launcher. Thinking the missing icon was a glitch, I continued. The game loaded but there were no new worlds. I played around for a bit but it was clear that there was no Island Paradise. When I checked Origin, it said that the game was installed and even running, except it wasn't. I called tech support and talked to a guy for about an hour but it was very clear that he was absolutely unfamiliar with Macs. He tried to have me do the fixes he knew worked for PCs but, well, they didn't work. In the end he had me delete everything and transferred me to a specialist. The second guy was familiar with macs fortunately. This guy had me crate a secondary user on my computer, it didn't fix the problem. Then he had me uninstall all my games and fixed my origin account so that I could redownload them (when the first guy had me delete everything Origin seemed to think the games were all still playing). I spent the rest of the day downloading and installing all my games only to discover that Island Paradise AND Supernatural didn't work!! The second "specialist" had emailed me several links to helpful mac troubleshooting but none of the topics applied to my problems so I made an appointment with a real Apple specialist. The Apple specialist spent several hours checking things and trying things and changing a few setting that he said can cause trouble with online gaming on macs. Then he uninstalled everything and had me try it all over again. After several hours of successful downloads and installs Island Paradise STILL DOESN'T WORK!!! What am I supossed to do now!?
