Issue Downloading Store Content

So I have been having an issue lately. I will try and download items I bought and it says there was an error downloading and to see log. I posted  up my log before and a moderator told me it was my browser and firewall. I have tried on 3 browsers and disabled my anti-virus and it does the same thing. I just tried downloading a world from the exchange and it said the same thing.... I want to use my store bought items... someone help. PLZ:catmad::catsad:

    Just remove the ebc files from that folder and reinstall everything. That should not affect your ability to download.

    You can even download everything first, then remove the ebc files from DCBackup and then reinstall your stuff.

    Clear your internet browser history, Use Firefox or IE the sims web may give you issue if using Chrome or Safari. Log back into the sims 3 web. Don't log into the sims 3 web through your launcher, log onto the sims 3 web while you are directly on the web. Once you do that run your mouse over the store, run your mouse over my store account and click on purchace history. Your items should be there. Just click download and your launcher will automatically open.

    So it downloads to my launcher but still gives me the error when i try and install to the game....   :catsad:

    Let me check in the helpers corner since there are some helpers on here a little more tecky than me and may have an answer for you.

    But since you are now able to download at least just remeber to always clear your internet browser on the sims 3 web even after buying sim points that web acts up!

    Yes its all about clearing your internet browser history. After I buy things I have to log out clear my internet browser and log back in for items to show up in my purchase history!! Why???!! Ea should fix that!

    Well I have never had this problem before. Ive always been able to just straight up download my purchased store content when I put my sims on a new computer.... But I recently uninstalled and reinstalled my game due to some bad CC and since that (and ea updates) ive had trouble downloading. Sometimes it will say it successfully installed and show up in "installed content" but when u start the game its not there and disapears from the launcher all together.... its being screwy. I really hope I dont have to uninstall and reinstall again...

    Im guessing you left files behind when you uninstalled and may have to manually uninstall and then do a clean install but wait for someone more tecky than me . I posted in the help forum so hopefully they dont agree with me on you having to manually uninstall! LOL

    Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps/td-p/714/

    You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

    Then try downloading on a clean folder to see if that works. If it does, you can start puting your stuff back (before installing the Store Content, just download it)

    Do you have any issues ingame ?

    no in game issues and i found out no trouble downloading stuff not from thesims3.com. I just downloaded something from thesimsresource and it is a sim packcgae file and it installed no problem... weird. I will try what you suggested and let you know. Thank you.
