It is sad, that's true, crinrict. Sad and futile.
I've seen threads on which people reported buying brand new computers because they thought their machine was to blame for game crashes. Or they spent money taking their computers to be cleaned up at a shop. Now, I don't doubt that in some of these cases this may have been necessary - if their system was too old, or didn't meet the game specifications, or was poorly maintained. But I can't help feeling that EA's policy of constantly pointing towards your computer system info may have duped a few into buying new hardware when it is the software at fault. I hope not but it does worry me a little.
