There was one other that reported your childrens bug. I wasn't sure what they meant but they never got back to me. So, I'll add that.

@newrichardson: Do you have any mods in ? Some of your bugs are old ones (children not going to school, missing pictures). The blinking could either be a mod or your graphic card.
For the missing pictures: Do you have any tents in any chests ?
