I had downloaded the Sims 3 on my old computer and played it for almost a year. My computer recently crashed and I had to get a new one. I was able to transfer all of my stuff over, but apparently I still have to re-install it again. The problem is I lost my registration code. Is there any way to get that?

I, too have misplaced/lost my serial no for one of my expansion packs. If you are unable to access your online account for your digital downloads (done through Origin in your account purchase history the serials are listed), the best thing to do is to contact EA & ask them to give you a new code directly.
I have my first 2 expansion packs bought on DVD, and the rest of my expansion packs I bought through Origin/EA online. I did a reinstall and can't find my booklet that has the serial no. Sigh. The nice thing about the digital game is that my serial no's are all listed under my account. But to get a new/replacement one for my DVD, I need to ask EA for one.
And while there are online options that allow you to generate a code, and you will be able to install your game/pack, you might have trouble if your game has access to the online store. Even though you have a legit DVD, you really need a legit code to have access to the shop download & install content in your Sims Launcher.
