I'm experiencing the same issues with Sims 3, which is extremely frustrating. Since 2013 I have had a Macbook Pro 13-inch, mid 2012, and never had the game work optimally. I have therefore not been able to play Sims 3 for several years. Now I've got a new computer, I've attached the information about this, and just installed and downloaded Sims 3 starterpack, Ambitions, Pets, Late Night, Fast Lane, World Adventures and Generations through Origin. When I first installed the starterpack, I could open the launcher. But after installing the rest, it has started reporting the familiar "Unknown Error Occurred", so I can not even open the launcher. Again, I've tried to find a solution through the links above, still unsuccessfully. I do not understand what's wrong and am desperate for help!
